Short Films Starring Acting Alumna Kea Trevett '16 Premiere in New York

Acting alumna Kea Trevett '16 stars in the short films Girl Talk and Ice Cold. In Girl Talk, she plays Mia who is in the process of discovering emotional and physical intimacy. In Ice Cold, she plays a bride on her wedding day. Both films will have their New York premieres at NewFest. Girl Talk is an official selection at the Iris Prize festival in Wales, the Oaxaca Film Fest in Mexico, Oslo Fusion Film Festival in Norway, and the Out On Film in Atlanta. 

 

Trevett also recently starred in the short film Tell Me Twice which was featured in the New York Shorts International Film Festival this past summer and was a selection of the Reeling Film Festival in Chicago. She was also an understudy in Little Rock, a New York Times Critic’s Pick, which closed at the Sheen Center's Loreto Theater in September. 

 

Kea Trevett is an actress and theater artist who holds a BA in Theater Studies and Creative Writing from NYU and an MFA in Acting from Columbia University. Theater credits includeThe Last Match (Roundabout), Little Rock (Sheen Center), Othello, The Comedy of Errors (Classic Stage Company), Last Night in Inwood (Signature), the world premiere of Antigone in the WorldA Tale Told By An Idiot (Lincoln Center), Joy, and an all-female Richard III, directed by NYTW fellow Nana Dakin. Kea has developed new work with The Lark, New Georges, Ars Nova, Ensemble Studio Theater, Cherry Lane, Theater Masters, Page 73, Irish Rep and Guild Hall.
