Reprisal, a series directed by alumnus Jonathan Van Tulleken ’10, will premiere on Hulu in December.

The show is billed as a hyper-noir centered on Katherine Harlow (played by Abigail Spencer), who’s left for dead by her brother and initiates a campaign of revenge against him and his gang of gearheads.

The show is executive produced by Warren Littlefield, who has executive produced Hulu’s Emmy-winning series The Handmaid’s Tale, in addition to FX’s Fargo.

Prior to Reprisal, Van Tulleken has directed numerous episodes of television, including multiple episodes of the FX series Trust, created by Simon Beaufoy and starring Donald Sutherland, and Hulu’s The Aliens. While at Columbia, Van Tulleken also wrote & directed the short film Off Season, which was nominated for a BAFTA Award and went on to screen at Brooklyn Film Festival and Slamdance Film Festival.

Reprisal was written & executive produced by Josh Corbin, who’s known for his work writing on shows such as Quantum Break and StartUp.

The pilot episode of Reprisal screened at the 2019 New York Comic Con earlier this month, where Corbin and Littlefield were present for a Q&A.

Reprisal will be available to stream on Hulu on December 6, 2019.
