During a period of four months, eight emerging TV writers with diverse backgrounds will take part in an immersive program at the Fox Studio Lot in Los Angeles that focuses on the development of original material and the exploration of the television industry.
The curriculum includes masterclasses where the participants will receive feedback on their material by accomplished writers, directors and showrunners. According to Deadline, they will also be coached by Joe Rogers at Executive Reboot LLC, and receive mentoring from executives at Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox 21, FX and 20th Century Fox Television. One finalist will also be named the 2018 Fox Writers Lab Fellow, which grants them a possibility of purchase and development from Fox Broadcast Company.
Tesia Walker was born in the Bronx. She graduated in 2015 from Columbia University and was a recipient of the Showtime Tony Cox Screenplay Competition for best episodic one-hour teleplay.
