Alumnus Blaze Mancillas ’12 Hosts ‘Let’s Get Lit Live’

Acting alumnus Blaze Mancillas '12 is the creator and host of Let’s Get Lit Live, a night of music, comedy and short stories at Caveat in New York, NY on October 26, 2021 at 9:30 pm.

Inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Mancillas will be reading some of Poe’s scary short stories while comedians interrupt and improvise with their jokes, questions, and commentary. The show features comedians Josh Gondelman, Gabe Gonzales, Lane Moore, and Shalewa Sharpe.

The show will also feature a live jazz band that will provide a musical score throughout the show, with music presented by Ember with Caleb Wheeler Curtis on the saxophone, Noah Garabedian on the bass, and Vinnie Sperrazza on the drums.

Blaze Mancillas is a comedian, actor and filmmaker living in New York City. He was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mancillas can be found playing characters in video games like Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption II. In 2020 he won a Webby Award hosting music trivia game show SongPop Live. He’s the creator of Let’s Get Lit, the podcast, where he reads the entirety of The War of the Worlds and each episode features a different comic interjecting with their jokes and commentary.
