The Group follows six men in a childhood sexual abuse survivor support group. Over the course of eight weeks, they embark on the healing process with unconventional exercises, puzzles, and LEGO bricks. Digging into their past to mend themselves isn’t easy, but each is held together by the community they create.

Content Warning: Graphic language and discussions of sexual abuse, suicide, self-harm, and violence.

About the Playwright

DeAndre Short is from New Kent, Virginia. He thought he would be a urologist one day, but a genetic tremor, neuroticism, and math phobia cut that plan short. He's glad he followed his dreams of being a playwright instead. He’s an avid collector of plays and coffee mugs. His favorite organ is the lungs. He didn’t have a name for the first three days of his life. Thanks, Mom and Dad. Love you.
