Linking with Ink: Teaching Creative Writing from Columbia University to Yerevan

Join us for a discussion on teaching, writing, and connecting with students across the Atlantic. The program will also highlight students' work.

Featuring Taleen Mardirossian, Zoe Valery, Theresa Lin, and Sarah Rosenthal.

Moderated by Dr. Nicole Vartanian.

In 2017, CA/T: Columbia Artists / Teachers initiated virtual (online) creative writing courses in collaboration with Tumo Center for Creative Technologies in Yerevan. Due to the success of these courses, the program was extended through the summer. Four of the instructors visited Yerevan to teach creative writing workshops in person (in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry). Currently, the program has expanded and the courses are offered both in Yerevan and Gyumri.

This event is co-sponsored by Columbia University School of Arts Writing Program, Tumo Center for Creative Technologies, The Armenian Center at Columbia University, Research Institute on Turkey, Columbia University Armenian Society, and National Association for Armenian Studies and Research.
