Medea is humiliated. No husband. No homeland. Jason has betrayed her, leaving her abandoned and exiled. But if she can pull off her bloody plan before the sun rises, she’ll not only claim vengeance but also her divine birthright. If it’s a choice between silence and complicity, Medea will take the third option: she’ll raze the House of Corinth to the ground.
Told in present-day times with an international cast representing over nine countries, this highly physicalized staging of Euripides' Medea explores gender roles, citizenship, and justice in a divided world.

About the Director
Miriam Grill is an international director of stage, screen, and augmented reality experiences with a focus on women and global issues. Her work is often recognizable for its body-centric explorations, non-traditional staging, and striking visual elements. Recent directing credits include War with the Newts (New York Puppetry Festival), Spying in the House of Love (Columbia University), Antony and Cleopatra (Columbia University), Alphabet Kids (Alphabet Arts), and The Seagull (Columbia University). She served as a producer on acclaimed interactive installation Frankenstein AI, which premiered at Sundance in 2018, and as an acting consultant on Cirque du Soleil founding member Franco Dragone's The House of Dancing Waters in Macau. She has assisted David Korins on many Broadway shows including Annie, Motown, Sonya Vanya Masha and Spike, as well as the international tour of Chinglish and Here Lies Love at the The Public, among others.
Her love for exploring new expressions of theatre-making has previously brought her to create 我们Women, a bilingual all-female theater piece in Taiwan, that used documentary and social inquiry practices. She went on to found a university theater department at Peizheng College in China. Miriam is currently the Producing Intern at La Mama, helping to produce the Trojan Women project in Guatemala and the summer 2019 La Mama Umbria symposium in Italy.
