in a conversation after a screening of his Hotel Terminus: The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie (film screening from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in East Gallery, conversation with Marcel Ophuls from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) Moderated by Columbia Film Professor Annette Insdorf, and joined by John Friedman (producer of Hotel Terminus), their discussion will include his film The Sorrow and the Pity as well as The Memory of Justice (whose restored version will be shown by the NY Film Festival on September 27).
