B I G

December 1 - January 26, 2023

Featuring prints by Jonathan Safran Foer, William Kentridge, Nicola López,

Kiki Smith, Sarah Sze, Rirkrit Tiravanija

BIG, curated by Nicola López, features a selection of large-scale editions printed and published by the LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies. Keenly focused on experimentation, the Neiman Center has collaborated with a diverse group of artists interested in pushing the boundaries of what a print can be. The prints on view transcend, both in size and stature, the conventions of the medium.

BIG is the third exhibition in a series of artist-curated installations held at the Neiman Gallery through April 2023 celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies.  The artists curating the exhibitions – william cordova (September 8 – October 14, 2022), Kiki Smith and Valerie Hammond (October 20 – November 23, 2022), Nicola López (December 1 – January 26, 2023), Mark Dion (February 2 – March 10, 2023), Rirkrit Tiravanija and Tomas Vu (March 16 – April 26, 2023) – have generously collaborated with the Neiman Center to produce some of the most significant and innovative contemporary editions.  The exhibitions represent the artists’ unique perspectives on the Neiman Center’s last twenty-five years of printmaking.
