In Codes (1966), characters are haunted by World War II. An elegant Pole returns from London to Krakow in the mid-1960s to find out how and why his youngest son disappeared during the German Occupation. He tries to get answers from his weary and embittered elder son, played by the great Zbigniew Cybulski. The score is by famed Polish composer by Krzysztof Penderecki.
