Stacey McMath

Stacey Cooper McMath is a Senior Consultant at Webb Mgmt, a management consulting practice focused on research and planning, the development of programs and cultural facilities, and advisory services to arts organizations, universities, and municipalities. She has 20 years of experience in public sector policy, grantmaking, cultural research, evaluation, and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Webb Mgmt Stacey served for eight years as Director of the Programs Unit in the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, where she administered the $28M Cultural Development Fund and instituted major equity reforms to the fund. She was a collaborator on New York City’s cultural plan, CreateNYC, and led research initiatives on the agency’s behalf around workforce demographics and the impact of Covid-19. In 2020 she was named a Women in Power Leadership Fellow by the Belfer Center for Innovation at the 92nd Street Y.

In 2022 Stacey joined Webb Mgmt, a leading provider of advisory services for arts organizations, governments, foundations, and various stakeholders in the arts. Since joining the practice she has focused on strategic planning for organizations serving the arts sector, guidance for community grantmakers, and studies to support the feasibility of new community arts programs and facilities. Stacey has a particular interest in cross-sector collaboration between arts organizations and local stakeholders to improve wellbeing in neighborhoods and communities. Stacey has taught in the theater departments at Barnard College and Marymount Manhattan College. She holds an MFA in Theater Management and Producing from Columbia University, and a BA in American History from Barnard College.
