Prashanth Sampathkumaran is an Indian-American filmmaker and a recent graduate of Columbia University’s Film MFA program. His undergraduate thesis film The Legend of Scotty Watts was featured by NQV Media and released on Prime Video and Vimeo On Demand in 2020. Prash received the Leone Family Film Grant for the production of his MFA thesis film Something Between Us, which went on to win the 2024 National Board of Review Student Grant and NBR’s Marion Carter Green Award. He teaches at Columbia along with the School of Performing Arts in New York City.
