Mattie Govan is a writer and teacher. She grew up in the UK and Norway, and received her BA from Dartmouth College. Previously she worked in theatre, TV drama, and film production in London.
She recently completed her MFA in Writing (Fiction) at Columbia University, where she was awarded a Dean’s Travel Grant. In her novel-in-progress, the protagonist unravels her father’s history, from his youth in Johannesburg as part of the Indian diaspora to adulthood as a physicist and in his later years as a teacher and aging parent.
