Luke Fischbeck

Artist, composer, technologist, poet and organizer. PhD candidate in the Interdisciplinary Media Art and Practice program within the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts; current research focuses on the poetics of patient engagement in light of computational regimes of care.
Contributing member of the ongoing project lucky dragons (2000-present), co-founder of the collectively-organized broadcast project KCHUNG Radio, and a director of the non-profit arts organization Human Resources. Their work, solo and in collaboration, has been presented at such institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, London’s Institute for Contemporary Art, The Kitchen and PS1 in New York, REDCAT, LACMA and The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, MOCA Los Angeles, Documenta 14, the 54th Venice Biennale, and the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, among others.
