Hinda Weiss
Hinda Weiss is a Brooklyn-based photographer and video artist. Using moving images, photography, and sound, she creates landscape installations imbued with local histories and activated by contemporary human activities. Contrary to the highly processed editing methods she uses, the way she collects her materials is simple: wandering alone, with a small camera.
Weiss has received numerous awards, including the Outset Contemporary Art Fund, the Ostrovsky Family Fund, and the Artis Exhibition Grant. She has participated in residencies such as air_basis in Frankfurt, Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, MeetFactory in Prague, and The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in New York City. Her work has been exhibited at prominent venues, including Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and Ludlow 38 in New York City.
