The highly anticipated second season premiered March 26, 2023, to positive critical reaction and acclaim in line with season one, and became Showtime’s most-streamed debut ever, a 10-year record high for the network. The series–part survival epic, part psychological horror story and part coming-of-age drama–follows a high school girls’ soccer team after they survive a plane crash in the remote northern wilderness while en route to a championship tournament. Prior to Yellowjackets, Bart and Ashley served as co-executive producers on the AMC series Dispatches From Elsewhere with Jason Segel and wrote and produced Netflix’s Narcos and Narcos: Mexico. The duo also developed The Big Empty at ABC Family and wrote for three seasons on The CW’s The Originals. Ashley and Bart met in the early 2000s on the East Coast where their writing partnership began. They currently reside in Los Angeles.
