From Tāmaki Makaurau, New Zealand, Arthur Gay is a director and writer based in NYC, a recent graduate of the Columbia University MFA film program, and a current assistant adjunct professor in Film for Undergraduate Film Studies. He is the recipient of the Miloš Forman Directing Fellowship, the Katharina Otto-Bernstein Mentorship and Development Prize, and was recently named a Sundance Fellow in the 2024 Screenwriters Intensive Program. Before moving to the USA, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Film at Unitec Institute of Technology.
