On January 7, Gary Shteyngart will release his memoir Little Failure (Random House). According to Amazon, the book shares Shteyngart's "American immigrant experience, moving back and forth through time and memory with self-deprecating humor, moving insights, and literary bravado. The result is a resonant story of family and belonging that feels epic and intimate and distinctly his own."
Author Zadie Smith calls the book "a delight."
On January 7, Jay McInerney will interview Shteyngart about Little Failure at Symphony Space.
This is Shteyngart's fourth book. He is the author of the Russian Debutante's Handbook (2003), which received the received the Stephen Crane Award for First Fiction and the National Jewish Book Award, Absurdistan (2007) and Super Sad True Love Story (2011).
