Undergraduate Creative Writing Program

The Undergraduate Creative Writing Program offers workshops in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, playwriting, and filmwriting, as well as courses in literary publishing. We serve an amalgam of students from Columbia College, The School of General Studies, nondegree students, and students from other undergraduate and graduate divisions of the University.

Creative Writing Studies
Creative Writing Studies makes it possible for nondegree students interested in the study of creative writing to enroll for credit or noncredit in any of the following Undergraduate Creative Writing Program courses for which they are prepared with the exception of the General Studies Senior Thesis, the Columbia College Honors Fiction and Honors Poetry Workshops, and Independent Writing Project.
