Acting alumnus Grayson Powell ’11 will star in the upcoming national touring production of Cheers Live on Stage, a theatrical adaptation of the Emmy-winning TV sitcom. He will play Sam Malone, the character made famous on the beloved NBC sitcom by Ted Danson.

The two-act comedy was adapted for the stage by Erik Forrest Jackson, who drew from the first season’s scripts, and directed by Matt Lenz, in a production by Stageworks Media and TROIKA Entertainment.

Cheers Live on Stage will open at Boston's Shubert Theatre on September 9, where it will run through September 18, and will then move on to Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, and Nashville, among many other cities. The production is currently scheduled to tour until February.
