Professor:

Christopher Burney

FROST/BURNEY:  The focus of this course will be to provide an in-depth look at the role of the producer on Broadway, with an emphasis on the creative aspects of the producer's responsibilities.  What makes a good play or musical?  What determines whether it might succeed on Broadway?  What are the identifying trends and influencers?  How does a producer take a project from inception to the Broadway stage, and what is their role in the collaborative process?  This is a highly interactive course with individual and group projects and presentations.

See the Theatre Arts MFA Program page for all course information and requirements.
