Theatre Alumni Win at the 2012 Village Voice OBIE Awards

The 57th Annual Village Voice OBIE awards were presented on May 21, and Theatre Arts alumni were awarded with high honors at the ceremony. Directing alumnus Jay Scheib ('02 SOA) was awarded Best Director for World of Wires and directing alumnus Ken Rus Schmoll ('00 SOA) won a special citation for the direction of A Map of Virtue

The OBIE Awards are annual awards given by The Village Voice honoring the achievements of theatre artists and groups in New York City's off-Broadway theatre. The awards were presented by acclaimed stage actors Eric McCormack, Hugh Dancy, Jonathan Pryce, Leslie Odom Jr., Lily Rabe, Michael McKean, Tonya Pinkins, Topher Grace and Tracee Chimo.
