Book Signing Events for Faculty Annette Insdorf
Insdorf's recent book release of Phillip Kaufman will be celebrated at two upcoming events. Insdorf and Phillip Kaufman will be introducing a screening of "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" at MoMA on Wednesday, April 11, and will be signing books in the lobby at 6:30 pm. more ►
Columbia University Bookstore will be holding a reading and booksigning event by Insdorf on April 24 at 6 pm, Broadway & 115th Street. more ►
 
Faculty Tom Kalin at International Film Festival
Tom Kalin's "Swoon" will screen Sunday April 15 at London's Fringe! festival. His short films, "Geoffrey Beene 30" and "Third Known Nest" will also be shown.
Kalin will also join Colleen Atwood, Andrzej Żuławski and Josh Radnor on the Main Competition Jury at the Off Plus Camera International Festival in Krakow April 16-22 . more ►
 
Alumni Film at the 2012 L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival
Andres Rosende (’11 SOA) screens "Mr. Bear" at the 2012 L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, a four-day, non-stop celebration of comedic short films with screenings, industry panels and a red-carpet award event. From April 26 - 29.
 
Alumnus' Comedy Series Wins at Hollyweb Series Festival
Matt Kenchington's comedy web series, Headshots, took home the best screenwriting award as well as the grand prize of best web series at the 2012 Hollyweb Web Series Festival on March 31 in Los Angeles. The web series was Matt Kenchington's Directing 4 project. View all 8 episodes here more ►
 
Alumna Wins International Lifetime Achievement Award
Andrea Chignoli ('07 SOA) wins the Women Film Festival FEMCINE2 for Outstanding Lifetime Achievement in Editing. Chignoli has worked on such films as "Violetta Went to Heaven." more
