7 Columbia Films to Screen at Toronto International Film Festival
Seven films by Columbia students, alumni or faculty members have been chosen to screen at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. A total of 18 Columbia filmmakers were involved in the making of the selected films, three of which are features and four shorts.

Mary Karr is an award-winning poet and best-selling memoirist. She is the author of Lit, the long-awaited sequel to her critically-acclaimed and New York Times best-selling memoirs The Liars' Club and Cherry. Her work appears in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Poetry and Parnassus. She is the Jesse Truesdell Peck Professor of Literature at Syracuse University.
Nonfiction Dialogues, now in its seventh season, features in-depth conversations with distinguished nonfiction writers about their work and careers, with Professor Lis Harris. The series continues on April 18 with Richard Rodriguez.
