Panther Baby, a memoir by Film faculty Jamal Joseph was released today, February 7, 2012.  Panther Baby is a stirring autobiography of Joseph as a teenage member of the Black Panthers, and the youngest spokesperson of their “revolutionary underground.” He tells his stories of incarceration, where he later earned two degrees, then became Associate Professor at Columbia University. learn more

The MA Film Studies program and the undergraduate Film Studies major give students a unique opportunity to study film history and theory in the midst of an active filmmaking community.
