Several Film Program Alumni are behind the highly anticipated TV revival of DuckTales on DisneyXD. Frank Angones CC ‘05 is the story editor and co-producer, while Bob Snow SOA ‘10 and Christian Magalhaes SOA ‘10 are staff writers. The new show will air twenty-one half-hour episodes and two one-hour episodes this summer.

Based on the beloved 1987 Walt Disney series and the character creations of Disney Legend Carl Banks, DuckTales will once again pick up on the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, his nephew Donald, and Scrooge’s trouble-making grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Other classic characters, including butler-chauffeur Duckworth, chicken inventor Gyro Gearloose, and vampy sorceress/LGBT icon Magica De Spell will also make appearances.

The series has attracted strong talent for its revival. It’s helmed by executive producer Max Youngberg (Ben 10: Ultimate Alien), and features Bobby Moynihan (SNL), Danny Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks & Recreation), and David Tennant (Doctor Who).
