The Columbia University School of the Arts Film Program in collaboration with Unifrance films' On Set With French Cinema series, presents a screening of On Tour written, directed and starring the acclaimed actor, Mathieu Amalric. On Tour is centered on Joachim (Mathieu Amalric), a former Parisian television producer had left everything behind - his children, friends, enemies, lovers and regrets - to start a new life in America. He comes back with a team of New Burlesque strip-tease performers whom Joachim has fed fantasies of a tour of France, of Paris. On Tour premiered at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, won the Best Director Award and the FIPRESCI Prize and was nominated for a Palme d'Or.
The screening is co-sponsored by the Columbia University Maison française.
