Film: Writing Film Criticism

Students evaluate classical and current film criticism, with special attention paid to the rise of independent cinema and sociological film criticism. Students write brief reviews for each session.

Prerequisites: The instructor's permission. Prospective students must submit writing samples by November 15. See the Film Program MFA page for course information and requirements.
