Theatre Arts: Acting I

Bookmark and Share

Professor:

Niky Wolcz

The fundamental laboratory class for the acting program. Explores movement for the actor and establishes basic physical warm-up techniques that serve the student throughout his or her studies.

Includes improvisation, sound and movement exercises, the actor's exploration of stage space, and text work. Major periods of theatrical and dramatic history are explored; for instance, one semester might be devoted to Greek and Roman theatre, another to the French Classical or Spanish Golden Age.

See Theatre Arts MFA Program page for all course information and requirements.
