Four Columbia Alumni on The 2014 Black List
The screenplays of four Columbia Film alumni have been selected for the prestigious 2014 Black List. The Black List began in 2005 as a survey of film executives about their favorite scripts which hadn't been turned into features. Since then, over 225 Black List screenplays have been made into feature films.
Geoffrey O’Brien is the author of sixteen books, including six collections of poetry, the most recent being Early Autumn. His prose books include The Phantom Empire, Sonata for Jukebox and Stolen Glimpses, Captive Shadows: Writing on Film 2002-2012. O'Brien contributes frequently to The New York Review of Books on subjects including film, opera, jazz and popular music, and poetry, and to other publications including Film Comment and Bookforum. He is editor-in-chief of The Library of America.
