The General Purpose Lab is open to all School of the Arts students. Below is a list of software and hardware available at the lab. The lab is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Hardware
- 16 Dual 3.0Ghz Quad-core Intel Xeon Mac Pros with dual 23" monitors (some with 30")
- miniDV and HD transfer station
- Flat-bed and slide scanner
- High volume laser printer
- Rack with VHS, DV-Cam, miniDV, DVD Recorder, BlueRay, and even LaserDisc
- DVD Duplicator
- Data/Video projector and large screen
Software
Latest software from Apple, Adobe, Avid and others, including Final Cut Studio 2; Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production; Avid Media Composer; Microsoft Office; Final Draft, and many other software tools. Software is upgraded on a regular basis.
The Film Editing Lab is open to 2nd year (and above) film students only. It can be used for color-correction and sound editing, by reservation only. Below is a list of software and hardware available at the lab. The lab is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

- Sound Editing station with ProTools, Logic, mixer, & control surface
- AJA IOHD, DVCPRO HD deck, Blackmagic DeckLink HD Pro, and Panasonic Color-correction monitor

Latest software from Apple, Adobe, Avid, Digidesign and others, including ProTools, Final Cut Studio 2, Logic; Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production; Avid Media Composer; Microsoft Office; Final Draft, and many other software tools. Software is upgraded on a regular basis.

- Panasonic DVCPRO HD deck, Sony Betacam SP deck
- AJA IO, AJA ioHD, and Blackmagic DeckLink HD Pro, Panasonic Color-correction quality LCD monitor

Latest software from Apple, Adobe, Avid and others, including Final Cut Studio 2, Logic, Aperture and Shake; Creative Suite 3, Premiere Pro Suite, After Effects, and Macromedia applications; Avid Media Composer; Microsoft Office; Final Draft, and many other software tools.
