Karen Dias

Karen Dias is an interdisciplinary artist, photojournalist and educator from Mumbai living in New York City. Her work spans across photography, painting, sculpture and installation exploring the representation of interpersonal and state violence in our everyday lives. She has been an artist-in-residence at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art and has exhibited her work at Tisseurs d'Images Photo Festival, Gulf Photo Plus, Serendipity Arts Festival, and Chennai Photo Biennale. Karen’s work has been published in The Washington Post, BBC, Bloomberg News, National Geographic, Financial Times, The New York Times, Le Monde and Al Jazeera among others.
