The Country and the Happiness was the MFA thesis production of Onur Kara ('10SOA), and was presented March 31 - April 3, 2010 at The Riverside Theatre.

The Country and the Happiness, a devised piece, is an international theater project which will unfold over ten years in ten different cities around the world. Each year, artists having two different cultural backgrounds will produce a play based on the dualities of their own identities. And the process will be defined by a single question: How can one be happy having two different homes?

The play was presented as part of Columbia Stages, the producing arm of Columbia University School of the Arts Theatre Arts Program.
