
Theatre Acting alum Anson Mount ('98 SOA) will star in the new AMC series Hell On Wheels, premiering on Sunday, November 6. Mount plays a former Confederate soldier Cullen Bohannan, whose quest for vengeance has led him to the Union Pacific Railroad's westward construction of the first Transcontinental Railroad.
Mount received his BA from the University of the South (1995) and began his professional career at Manhattan Theater Club playing the leading role in Terrence McNally's Corpus Christi for which he was honored by The Drama League in 1998. Mount made his feature film debut in the independent film Tully, and has starred opposite Britney Spears in Crossroads, opposite Robert DeNiro in City By the Sea. Mount has also appeared in Poolhall Junkies opposite Christopher Walken, Battle of Shaker Heights, the HBO series Project Greenlight, Burning Palms with Dylan McDermott and Zoe Saldana, Last Night starring Keira Knightley and Straw Dogs. Mount hails from White Bluff, Tennessee.
